Event, Party & Workshop T&Cs
βWe want everyone, kids & adults to have a fantastic time with us in the workshop. However, we do ask you to read through our terms & conditions ahead of your party or workshop date.β
- Depending on the party type you have booked, you will receive an automated online catalogue and a booking form. Share the catalogue with your party guests and let them have a browse at the projects and designs. You can lend one of our physical design folders to take with you. However, we ask it is returned with you on the day or you will be charged. 1 week before your party date, please fill in the required booking form ands return it back to us (you will receive email prompts to do this). This means all of your projects and designs will be ready and waiting ahead of your workshop.
- All designs and our downloadable PDF catalogues are copyright protected by The Twisted Knot Limited.
- The deposit required is to secure your date and time. This is NON REFUNDABLE in the event of a cancellation but it is taken off the final total on the day (*if the points highlighted on terms & conditions are complied with).
- The Twisted Knot begins the design and production of the projects and designs once your booking form is submitted. If you or your guests need to cancel a project, please give a minimum of 72 hours’ notice where possible, as this is when the designs would be cut. Any guests who donβt attend on the day and have submitted a personalised design. will incur a Β£5 fee due to the vinyl/ design being pre-cut and ready. This will be taken from the deposit amount due to be refunded to the main party booker.
- Not all our designs are customised/ personalised. If a design has a name or date built into the design, it can be customised at no additional cost. Other changes to our standard designs or special requests (custom designs) must be submitted a minimum of 7 days prior to the event by emailing us on info@thetwistedknot.co.uk or enquiries@thetwistedknot.co.uk
- We strongly advise that all attendees to wear suitable clothing. Although we provide aprons on the day we always recommend wearing clothing you wouldnβt mind getting paint on. As this is a working workshop is can get very busy… and very messy (thatβs the whole idea of the workshop). We work with a lot of tools, stains and paints so we advise coming dressed for a workshop party! The Twisted Knot Limited cannot be held responsible for any paint getting on clothing or damages of this nature. We do endure to keep the workshop as tidy as we possibly can whilst you are working. However it can get very busy for our staff. Any paint spillages will be dealt with asap and if you do get any on clothing, although our paints are fully safe and water based, wipe with a damp cloth soon as possible and they can stain when left to dry. Sensible footwear is also advised and please keep long hair tied back.
- Please ensure your party guests are ready to start at your designated time. Our workshops are approximately 2 hours to 2.5 hours (depending on whether you pause for food) The workshop can have several parties running at once so keeping in your designated time is important for us to run smoothly. (If you have a project that our team know will take longer, this will be factored into our timings from your booking time).
- Hot drinks are available and we can provide squash/cups etc. We do not provide food but you are more than welcome to bring anything you desire (cake, sandwiches, take out etc). We ask however that you take rubbish with you. We have a kitchen that you are welcome to use. We ask that ALL children are to be supervised at all times. Please use the kitchen responsibly and keep it tidy.
- Alcohol – Age permitting, you are welcome to bring alcoholic beverages to enjoy responsibly during your time in the workshop. Again, being a working workshop, this is monitored carefully by staff on site at all times.
- All guests will stain, prepare their stencil, and paint their design. Here, we use natural untreated wood to build your projects, so there may be random cracks, chips, knots and other natural blemishes. Over time, there may be some changes due to wood expanding or drying out, all a natural occurrence using raw wood.
- As much as we always want our guests to have a great time, we are also a fully working manufacturing workshop (our main workshop is behind locked doors and signed for staff and specialty workshops only). All guests are to stay in theprovided workshop area. This is still a practical workshop and although we keep the more dangerous tools (drills, hammers etc) out of reach, we ask guests to be mindful with the tools you use on the day. Full risk assessments have been carried out, and staff are trained and always on hand.
- Ultimately, our friendly and experienced members of staff will be hand to guide your guests through the full workshop process and ensure they have the best time, but they are your responsibility on the day.
- Children MUST be supervised at ALL times. Any damages to the workshop must be paid for.
